On January 26, 2026, the anniversary issue of the Theological Bulletin of the Smolensk Orthodox Theological Seminary, No. 1(30) 2026, was published. Dear readers and authors, with a feeling of deep joy and gratitude to God’s Providence, we are celebrating a significant event in the life of the theological school and the entire Russian scientific and theological community — the publication of the 30th anniversary issue of the Theological Bulletin of the Smolensk Orthodox Theological Seminary. For more than a decade of its existence, starting in 2015, the magazine has become an integral part of the seminary’s intellectual tradition, an authoritative platform for dialogue between theology and secular science, as well as a living chronicle of the development of spiritual education in the Smolensk Archdiocese. Each issue, representing a synthesis of fundamental theological research, historical research, patristic exegesis and topical pastoral reflections, contributed to the treasury of Russian church science. This anniversary volume is not just a summing up, but also a confident bid for the future, testifying to the creative potential, loyalty to academic standards and the continuous pursuit of Truth by teachers, students and graduates of the seminary, as well as their colleagues from other scientific and educational centers. The new issue of The Theological Bulletin of the Smolensk Orthodox Theological Seminary continues the tradition of cooperation with leading experts in the field of theological, ecclesiastical, historical, and humanitarian disciplines based on partnership with spiritual and secular higher educational institutions. This ensures a high level of scientific research. A number of church historical and theological articles have been published in the current issue. The journal’s Appendix contains publications of archival documentary materials that were first introduced into scientific circulation, as well as scientific and theological reviews of modern monographs. It should be recalled that the «Theological Bulletin of the Smolensk Orthodox Theological Seminary» was included in the current List of peer-reviewed publications (No.2563) of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) as of 12/19/2023. The list of scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission includes publications of Higher educational institutions of Russia, in which the main results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences should be published.
